Hacker FW 2015

In an era when everything tech has assumed an ultra sleek, wireless, monochromatic, minimalist aesthetic, computers are sexy for the first time in history. Hacker, a fall/winter sportswear collection is a poetic celebration of the grungy computer culture of 20th century - the awkwardness and bulk that characterized early computers and gritty tech nerds who pioneered the sleek technologies of today but remained outside the spotlight.

Hacker FW mood board
Hacker is inspired by the quintessential “hacker chick”, dark eyes glued to her screen, cigarette in hand, living in a cyber world beyond our own. It combines numerous prints and colors in cotton and wool in cozy, sexy, heroin-chic silhouettes that are just right both at home on the couch and out and about downtown. Its practical layers drape and hang beautifully and as part of its eclectic material exploration, it features unique leather computer backpacks and unexpected lace accessories. Hacker is huskily feminine but makes no apologies for its punk attitude.

Hacker pushes her - our sexy, lanky, unwashed muse, grinning toothily - out of her brown-carpeted basement and into the fresh light of autumn.
Early collection development in sketchbook with swatches, under working name "Mustard Flats" after the rich ochres and greenish yellows that predominate the color palette.
